Bruno Cavellec

Bruno is an artist who loves to move freely from one medium to another to produce a very extensive body of work. Among all the artists who have influenced his approach, German romantic painter Caspar David Friedrich holds a very special place. The way he elevated the subject of landscape into something deeply spiritual and poetic struck a chord with him. For years, he explored that theme, using oil painting and printmaking to create intimate pieces where, caught between dramatic skies and harsh land, man finds a wild, open space to reflect on the transient nature of being.
Alongside art, Bruno’s other absolute passion is music, so it’s only natural that he ended up collaborating with musicians. While searching for new exciting ways to produce illustrations, he got into the fascinating world of digital art. It provided him with a chance to convey his ideas and generated more opportunities to work not only for musicians but also for filmmakers and writers. Designing album covers is now an essential part of his work and one of the most fulfilling.
As the years go by, Bruno has let go of the idea of a clear direction, purely because his interests keep changing all the time, and so does his subject matter and even his style. He embraces change wholeheartedly and strongly believes in its benefits.
