Following her career in fashion Celine returned to the Island and enrolled at the IOM college completing 2yrs GNVQ ADV Art & design with distinction and A’s in her A levels in Fashion textiles and Ceramic design. Celine, a ceramicist making and selling her work since graduating in 2004 with a 1st class honours degree in Ceramic design, produces innovative, skillfully hand-built bespoke, functional and sculptural pieces. She is inspired by her love of textiles, nature’s beauty and its reoccurring folds and grooves. Constantly experimenting with textures, forms and colours she has a wide range of glazes, developed over the past 15 years. A selection of Celine’s work is for sale at the Manx Museum including her porcelain and stoneware Manx cats. With many years of experience tutoring in clay workshops and lessons to a wide range of abilities and ages, Celine loves to pass on her passion with this medium which has many therapeutic benefits.
