Daniel graduated with a BA(hons) in Fine Art in 2017. Splitting his practice between painting and printmaking Daniel finds inspiration in the Manx Landscape. The island is not always the idyllic sunny postcard, often portrayed but is a more complex, diverse and fickle place to be, barely staying above the waves of the Irish Sea at times. This has encouraged him to seek the less obvious and sentimental scenes.
His technique has grown out of his love for image making and responding to the world around him. The images he makes exist to connect with their viewer, either through mutual experience of a place or by stimulating a sense of familiarity and nostalgia.
