Greg is a photographer. For him photography is not about precision or perfection. He sees it as a means of capturing the profundity inherent in all things, by whatever photographic technique is most appropriate.
He recently became aware that his creative thoughts resonate with the subtle ideals of Japanese aesthetics and feels that these ideals will become more influential in his work. Consequently, he takes an holistic approach in presenting his images. Utilising his practical skills - as an accomplished framer – he endeavours to produce presentations that magnify the aesthetic of the image.
Greg was pleased to see this approach validated by the feedback he received at last year’s Hodgson Loom Gallery Open Arts Competition, in which he was awarded joint overall winner.
