Jo is foremost a potter working in a variety of styles, different clays and a varied mixture of finishing techniques. Her work is usually very large and as she finds humour in most situations this is usually reflected in her pots.
Jo’s work is inspired by everyday situations, maybe a beautiful view or a friendly dog with a comical personality which appears through the clay or an interesting quote which will also often make its way onto a pot. She loves to experiment with new techniques and to see the variety of results achieved by ‘playing’ with the materials.
Her work is exhibited through art fairs and various exhibitions throughout the UK, one large pot titled ‘Experiencing the City’ displayed in the library of St John’s College, Oxford.
