Winner of The Norman Sayle Prize for Art, 2010 and The Isle of Man Bank Prize for Outstanding Student Achievement, 2013. Karl studied for a Fine Art Degree as a mature Student at University College Isle of Man (formally Isle of Man College).
Since graduating, Karl has continued his practice in a number of studios around the Isle of Man. He has also supported other artists through exhibiting their work in his spaces. Karl is best known for his large scale sculpture (mostly in wood) which he has exhibited around the Island.
Karl suffers with dyslexia but has found through visual art, that he can express himself freely and hope that his own experiences may give confidence to others with similar challenges.
