Laura Espinosa is an artist, author, illustrator and mother. Originally from the Isle of Man, she left to be educated at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design in 1997, after which she spent many years living in London and Brighton, travelling, and exploring life.
On returning to the Island in 2008, Laura felt compelled to create the enchanting children's picture book, 'You can be'. With sumptous and undulating images, rich in colour and symbolism, her distinctive illustrative style was born. In 2016 Laura illustrated two further books for a local author, and completed a new body of personal work, inspired by the earthy rugged manx scenery, focusing on trees as an iconic symbol of celtic culture. A spiritual message flows through her work, with titles such as 'Reaching' and 'The Way'.
