Nicola Dixon is known for her distinctive colourful style in watercolour and ink, but things have been different recently. The centre of Peel now has 12 large laser cut steel screens installed with designs that are unmistakably Nicola’s.
Meanwhile her work has been travelling all over the world on the ‘Green Mann’ Stamps celebrating the Manx ‘Food Matters’ campaign.
Both projects have stretched Nicola into new areas, but also combine elements of previous work. Celtic symbolism, fishing boats, the marine environment with an energetic, yet flowing line. It has been a great way to celebrate 25 years as a full time artist.
2018 will see Nicola develop her own and joint design ideas as part of the Longhouse Collective based at Grenaby Studios.
